Verdict

In the finale, the vote goes to Uncle Bulgaria, with his main dangers reckoned to be Shekan Star, Kinky, Classic Style and Sound And Vision. Kinky, a winner from a two-pound lower two runs ago, can go well despite getting beaten last time, as he is lightly raced. Classic Style is four pounds better off for the four lengths he finished behind Kinky at Catterick on April 20th, but he wears first-time blinkers today so it will be interesting to see how he goes. Sound And Vision is also better off - by two pounds - for the two heads that he finished behind Kinky in the same race. However, given that Uncle Bulgaria finished 12 lengths ahead of Sound And Vision when they met at Warwick last time, the Giles Bravery-trained colt, who looked promising last season and could yet prove reasonably weighted, holds a chance at least the equal of those mentioned. As such, we look to him as the possible winner. Turning to the others and Komreyev Star has improved lately, but that has been on the all-weather, Shekan Star was beaten a whisker at Leicester last time and a repeat effort to that level sees her in with a good chance, as she met trouble in running on that occasion, and Outrageous Flirt might improve for the step up to a mile today, having shown some promise. However, for the winner, we return to Uncle Bulgaria.
