In depth

Verdict

IRONDALE EXPRESS finally opened her account when landing an apprentice race in soft ground at Nottingham last week. A winner without a penalty, she has obvious claims and is preferred to Rioja Day. The latter went close at Ayr last time and Bajan Rebel was not beaten far when fourth at Beverley on her latest start. Ad Vitam scored over 6f in soft going last term and stays this longer trip but Dandarrell has just the one win in 19 starts on Turf. Rasselas has joined Ruth Carr and is back on a winning mark for his reappearance.
