In depth

Verdict

This depends on whether OBSTACLE can reproduce his earlier run at Newmarket. Well beaten on his return from a lay-off, he'd finished well clear of the third when runner-up on his debut and a repeat would be good enough to land this. Mount Macedon sets the standard with a handicap mark of 76 and is preferred to Arty Campbell but the remainder have something to find. Tweed makes most appeal of the newcomers has she's a half-sister to numerous winners including the smart stayer Harris Tweed.
