    Verdict

Paul Hanagan had the difficult choice of DHAROOS or Laqab and has plumped for the former. The Gosden colt showed promise, despite not threatening the winner, when fifth in a Newmarket maiden. Laqab was narrowly beaten on his introduction at Chelmsford and Roger Varian’s charge is not out of this and neither is recent Pontefract third, Selection. A longer trip in soft ground may have been a legitimate excuse for Stanley last time given he ran much better over 1m2f at Sandown earlier but Mutadaffeq went backwards after a decent start when trained in Ireland and has his first start for David O’Meara in this.
