Mill By The Stream is likely to represent good value in the opener and is a sporting choice, while Celtic Thunder, Whittinghamvilage and the old boy Sharp Hat are other that can be expected to go well. Sharp Hat has been a real credit to his connections and, as he proved at Musselburgh last month, he can still pay his way when things go right for him. He still retains a turn of foot and any money to back up his claims would be dangerous to ignore. Whittinghamvilage is another that is capable on his her day and is versatile regarding the trip. However, she has been very hard to win with and needs everything to go her way. Celtic Thunder won well at Haydock earlier in the month and still has plenty to offer from his current mark. James Millman gave him a peach of a ride at Haydock and a repeat performance would not be out of the question today. However, Mill By The Stream is also capable of taking a hand at this level and, having shown improved form of late, the four-year-old rates as a solid value option in a wide open contest.
