In depth

Verdict

Rebellion can give the boys in blue another winner, with Collateral Damage, Deutschland, Marmooq and Moonhawk all expected to give a good account of themselves. Saeed bin Suroor also runs For Once here, but Rebellion is taken to step up on her debut here three weeks ago when despite running green, she shaped with promise to finish third over a mile. At this stage, and on this ground, the drop back to seven furlongs is likely to suit her better, and a big run is anticipated. Collateral Damage has gone close on each of his last two starts and will definitely go on the ground so has to be respected along with Deutschland, the best of the Jarvis pair on jockey bookings. However he was a bit too keen early on at York and needs to settle far better to realise his potential. Marmooq finished third on his debut over six furlongs here at the end of September, and this half-brother to Etlaala should also be kept on the right side, especially with his stable still in good form with its juveniles. Moonhawk ran above expectations on his Doncaster bow when runner-up to Sienna Storm, but on breeding needs a step up in trip, not a step down, and it is Rebellion that is the one to beat.
