Not much form to go on for this maiden but based on his near miss on debut the vote marginally lands in the saddle of LUCKY RAVE ahead of Reeds Bay and Hairs Vital. After his initial foray into racing the selection should be a little calmed this time as the colt got upset in the stalls on his debut effort but still ran well to grab a place. He was also slowly away that day running on nicely to catch the eye and if breaking on level terms he should go close. The form from Reeds Bay's debut has already been franked nicely but he was a little adrift of the first two home that day. He is bred for speed and from a yard who do well with their youngsters so given the expected improvement he'll be in the shake-up. Hairs Vital takes a big step down in class having been out gunned in a conditions race at Goodwood on debut and this one should be respected at this more realistic level. Valantino Oyster is from a yard who aren¿t afraid to back their own so any positive market signs surround him should be noted while Arabian Pride looks the most interesting newcomer with Jamie Spencer booked to ride. Not a race to get carried away with but Lucky Rave could prove the lucky option.
