In depth

Verdict

A handicap low on quality though VEINARD should have the scope to do better. He was having only his fourth start and making his handicap debut when runner-up to Seamus Mor at Wetherby where he got tightened up on the run-in and should gain compensation. Hey Bob ran well for a long way in that event before weakening from the last while Pistol looked a likely future winner when narrowly beaten at Carlisle but then ran very poorly at Kelso on his next start. Telex Du Berlais scored over timber in France but has shown nothing in two starts over fences for Simon Waugh and the remainder are also struggling.
