In depth

Verdict

It won’t be the first time a Sir Mark Prescott-trained horse defies a double penalty but that’s the task CAPE CRYSTAL faces in this having landed a double at Wolverhampton. She won with any amount in hand last time so a bold bid is expected. Bogardus is upped 4lb for winning at Nottingham so Hussar Ballad is preferred on his recent second at Wolverhampton. Tenerezza went close at the latter track on her handicap bow while Taopix was placed at Carlisle last week and both are preferred to Paddy's Rock, who ran poorly on both visits to the track earlier this year.
