      Verdict

      COOL IN THE SHADE won her maiden at Beverley last month and ran well again when third in a higher grade handicap at Ayr last time. Paul Midgley's three-year-old can take this with further progress on the cards and she's less exposed than Cayman Fox. The latter has gone close in similar company the last twice, but Sharp Bullet was still beaten six lengths when runner-up at Hamilton last week and is harder to fancy. It's hard to make a serious case for any of the remainder as they're all struggling for form at present.
