    Verdict

It was inevitable that having been hoisted 15lb by the handicapper for three wins over this track that ORIENTAL LILLY would be left on an unchanged mark after her winning run came to an end here latest. She wasn't beaten far though and could still prove more than good enough to go close here under regular partner Phil Dennis. The main concern is that she must be held up as late as possible and getting a clear run may not prove straightforward in this size of field. Stable companion Lord Of The Glen has also enjoyed a fine winter on the tapeta and could also play a part alongside fellow three-year-old Knockout Blow. Captain Lars has been mopping up claimers and sellers in recent months but ran well enough in Class 2 company over the weekend to suggest he can play a role. Landing Night and Lexington Place appeal most of the older, more established brigade.
