Those with racing experience do not have a great deal to recommend them with Mint State and Al Raahi looking the pick of the two to have raced so this may go to one of the newcomers with preference for Rallying Cry over Mesbaah. The last mentioned is trained by Michael Jarvis, who is more than capable of producing one to win first time out so he has to be respected. Richard Hannon saddles the newcomer Magic Mountain but Richard Hughes prefers the once raced Castara Bay, who would need to improve significantly on his debut effort, so the pair may be best watched. Mint State and Al Raahi may well improve but John Gosden's Rallying Cry has a decent pedigree and comes from a yard that has had a couple of debutant winners of late.
