Blue Maiden has the highest rating of those to have earned one following her fine second when belying odds of 66/1 in the Sweet Solera Stakes behind Long Lashes here in August and she has to be respected but it may be worth taking a chance with TABASSUM, who gets the vote over Sweet Sonnet. Saeed Bin Suroor's filly disappointed in the Albany Stakes but ran much better when chasing home Shamandar on a soft surface at Salisbury last time. The faster ground today should not inconvenience the son of Seeking The Gold and she has to be considered. Richard Hannon's Crown is more experienced than most of these but has been well held in Group 2 races previously and she looks best watched. The Barry Hills-trained Hasty needs to improve to trouble the judge and of more interest may be Pipette. Andrew Balding's filly created a favourable impression when making a winning debut when scoring on soft ground at Salisbury last month and she has claims on the faster surface today. She is not certain to handle the better ground this afternoon though and preference is for another debut winner, Tabassum. Sir Michael Stoute's filly ran on well when making that successful start to her career here in August, looking one to keep on the right side of and she is taken to make the transition to group company in her stride.
