Verdict

HEAVEN SENT is marginally preferred here to Changing Skies and Barshiba. The selection won this race last year as the 6/4 favourite and she is back for another crack twelve months on. Her stable are in good form and whilst she might prefer easier ground, she does act on good to firm and she has the turn of foot to get away from small fields and any tactical race. Barshiba was fourth in this last year and she may have to settle for place money as she races off level weights, whilst Moon Sister is open to improvement as one of the younger brigade but she was well-held behind Barshiba on her final start last season and will need to have wintered well to be winning over this shorter trip. Casilda has plenty to find at the weights and she has a bit to do, despite being the least exposed in the race, so a bigger threat may be Changing Skies who only has 4lb to find on official ratings with the selection. She looks a big player but her best runs have come on soft ground and she has a bit to prove on this going. This looks a good chance for Heaven Sent to follow up last-year's success.
