    Verdict

Mark Johnston holds a strong hand in this. Hochfeld was apprentice-ridden on his return to action at Musselburgh but Joe Fanning takes over the reins here and better is expected dropped a couple of pounds. Fire Fighting looks up against it and BAGHDAD has gone up 2lb since his third at Newcastle. But that run confirmed that the latter is still on an upward curve and he has his ground today with Silvestre De Sousa doing the steering. Deja has won his last three and remains unexposed while Frankie’s mount Corelli has a similar profile, though there are going concerns. Koeman is a consistent sort but Melting Dew looks high enough in the weights following last summer’s exploits.
