    Verdict

Al is most interesting of the older horses as he remains open to plenty of improvement for Luca Cumani and it's only his absence from the track since last October that prevents him from being the selection. The market should inform of his chance but on this occasion it may be worth rowing in with one of the progressive three-year-olds. Rockspirit, Lord George and Gold Faith all fall into that category but northern raider, ANOTHER GO, is preferred. Alan Swinbank has always been a shrewd placer of his charges and the son of Strategic Prince cleared away strongly at Beverley last time and looks one to follow. The quick ground is the one concern but his yard seem comfortable about coming here and the extra 2f should really suit. Sbraase has claims and should there be any serious cash around for Mengli Khan it should be noted as he seems to have lost his way rather after such a promising start to his career.
