      Verdict

      Three-year-olds invariably win this but only one favourite has obliged in ten renewals. MAGIC OF REALITY has been making steady progress and though only having two opponents to beat at Salisbury last time she did it nicely with a bit up her sleeve. She was entered for a Listed contest this weekend so connections must believe she's better than an 89-rated filly. After winning her maiden in very good style here, Broadway Duchess was a bit disappointing at Goodwood and will need to do better but the remaining three-year-old, Great Timing, has strong claims. She had Forgive in second when scoring here in June and her latest run at Goodwood should be completely ignored as she had no sort of run. None of the remaining trio are out of what looks a tight little handicap.
