The last two winners of this unique event, Sarah's Art and Witchry, are here for another crack and the latter has returned to form just in time though is 7lb higher. Clear Ice has been on the go for a very long time for his age but shows no sign of stopping and arrives here on a hat-trick after two victories at Brighton. He's now on his highest mark and this looks tough as it does for Time Medicean, who was raised 8lb for landing a moderate Beverley event and has changed hands. Silver Rime does best with some give in the ground so further rain would aid his cause while the very consistent Rylee Mooch hasn't proved himself beyond the minimum trip. EMMA'S GIFT scored over the minimum as a juvenile and a mile at Ascot in April. She's been struggling in better company at that trip recently but should have enough pace for this and, with her young rider's claim, looks well enough handicapped to get back to winning ways.
