        Verdict

        The likes of Dream Today, Dark Acclaim, Arbalet and Petrus have all come up short in pattern company with the latter’s fourth here in the Royal Lodge perhaps the best form. The Ballydoyle colts Zabriskie and Flag Of Honour have both won maiden races with Ryan Moore preferring the former while Ghaiyyath landed a maiden over track and trip by five lengths last month. Purser was another easy winner in novice company at Lingfield but WAFY beat three previous winners when successful in a conditions race at Sandown. Further progress is expected from Charlie Hills’ colt over today’s extra furlong and he gets the nod.
