Verdict

Not one favourite has won this in the past ten years. The lightly-raced Sunrise Star is likely to be at the head of the market after finding 5f too short at Nottingham. She'd looked much better over this trip at Bath earlier and with her young rider's claim taken into account looks well enough treated. Willie Musson has two entries and though Don't Have It Then has the best recent form having scored at Goodwood in June it's ROCKET ROB who may prove best of the pair and could be good enough for this. He last won at Sandown a year ago and was hit hard in the ratings but he's steadily been coming down and is now 2lb lower so this could be his day. Jungle Bay has been running very well and was only headed close home at Yarmouth while Marmalady, who completed a hat-trick around this time last year, gave notice of an imminent victory when last seen in May.
