Verdict

Balaagha and RESORT are the two to concentrate on with Christina Rossetti and Spring Adventure two that could contest third. Preference is for Resort on the grounds that she made her debut in a Newmarket maiden that Sir Michael Stoute has targeted with his best juvenile fillies over the years. She may not have won but there were plenty of positives to be taken from her performance and she should make up into a three year-old. Balaagha is the other runner in the field with grand pretensions (i.e. a Guineas entry) and she gained vital experience when fifth of fifteen last term. She missed the kick and wasn't given too hard a time of things that day but will be wiser now. The remainder don't look up to that class but Christina Rossetti and Spring Adventure may be able to contest the prize money that's on offer for third. Favourites don't have a great record in this maiden but there are far fewer runners than usual and Balaagha and Resort could prove to be in a different league to those that do line up; Resort is taken to prevail.
