Verdict

John Gosden won this four times between 2014 and 2017, the last three ridden by Frankie Dettori. Last year’s representative only finished third but this is clearly a maiden that the stable targets and TWIST ‘N’ SHAKE, a daughter of Kingman out of a Listed winner, was very green on her sole start for the Cumani yard here on the July Course here last August and will know more today. Maqsad would be the form selection but disappointed when favourite at Yarmouth in October. Stagehand went close over 7f at Newcastle in the autumn but the extra furlong might be a concern. Specialise has a nice pedigree and is worth a market check.
