        Verdict

        After a close fourth in a better class event at Goodwood, Arab Poet was expected to land a Sandown handicap at this level last month but may have found the ground too fast. Dutch Law won over a mile here last summer and has been unfortunate not to add to that lone success though he keeps climbing the weights without winning. John Quinn tries Reputation in a visor and he should make a bold bid to return to winning ways as his only victory to date came on fast going at York and he's been running well in easier conditions. Surewecan is another well suited by quick ground though he's taken a step-up in class unlike PLUCKY DIP (NAP), who wasn't beaten far into fourth in a Class 2 handicap over the track and trip last week and is on a 2lb lower mark. Last year's winner Athletic has been performing better than his form figures imply.
