Verdict

Topweight Ormelie has been lightly-raced over the last two seasons, without a great deal of success, and is probably best watched for the time, a comment that also applies to Mark Tompkins Royal Minstrel who make a belated reappearance. Star Turn does not win very often and is best passed over which leaves us with Defining and Overstrand. The former has been well placed by James Fanshawe but may now be in the handicapper's grip so we go for Amanda Perrett's Overstrand. The winner of a Bath handicap on fast ground, he was not disgraced at Goodwood behind Scott's View subsequently, and should be seen to even better effect on this softer ground. The son of In The Wings gets the TEAMtalk vote.
