It was soft going when POINT HOPE finished third at Haydock on her reappearance and Richard Hannon’s filly gets a speculative vote on this faster surface now handicapping for the first time. American Endeavour won at Wolverhampton in November and can figure while Final Treat disappointed when last in action but had shown enough in a couple of earlier starts to suggest she can figure in this. Naqaawa is another expected to improve this year along with other lightly-raced types in Astolat and Odyssa while Simply Breathless is preferred to Thundercloud, who won a lower grade handicap at Redcar a fortnight ago.
