Verdict

Shesastar got off the mark for the season at Doncaster last month and another prominent showing is expected. Perfect Step, only beaten half-a-length on Town Moor, is a couple of pounds better off here, however, so there may not be much to choose between the pair today. Hamilton winner Tahlia Ree has obvious scope for improvement but Alice's Dancer has struggled to see out this trip in the past and Free Verse is unlikely to line up unless the ground eases. ELUSIVE FLAME was a decent two-year-old, chasing home Free Verse at Windsor in July last year before beating Poetic Dancer at Doncaster. She took a while to get going this season but came good over C&D earlier this month, winning far more easily than the official margin suggests, and can defy a 6lb rise in the weights.
