Low Key completed a hat-trick when landing this trial last year and started favourite for the main event but never threatened and he's only had three moderate runs over hurdles subsequently. OCEANE looks the perfect type for this having won two of his last three and been unlucky when tackling 2m5f at Goodwood where he couldn't find daylight. He's climbed the weights but a mark of 92 could still prove too low. David Simcock tries The Cashel Man in blinkers after he veered to the left when chasing the selection at York last time so he could get closer but Champagne Champ's two recent victories came at a much lower level and he's 6lb higher. Perceus likes plenty of give in the ground so some rain would aid his cause but Planetoid wasn't far behind the selection at Goodwood and will be suited by this test of stamina more than most.
