      Verdict

Silken Thoughts easily won the annual Flat v Jumps Jockeys Challenge at Sandown for which she has been raised 8lb. The ground was very soft but it was good when she scored at Newbury last July so she should be in the shake-up. Rawaki made a winning start on his belated debut at Wolverhampton in June and hasn't been seen since but QARAABA landed a quick double in March and by the way she strolled home at Doncaster on Lincoln Day looks capable of going on to better things - an 8lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent a hat-trick. John Louis is progressing well and made all for a comfortable victory at Kempton, though he's unlikely to get an easy lead as he did there and he's 7lb higher.
