    Verdict

Ambient is difficult to recommend on these terms while Great Prospector’s best form of last year came over 6f and he’s yet to run up to the same level over further. Mutaaqeb was placed over 6f in Listed company at Doncaster in October but attempts 7f for this first time but the 107-rated Purser won a conditions race over course and distance last month when beating a Charlie Appleby-trained subsequent winner. That should give the Godolphin handler a good line on the form and he steps AURUM up in class on the back of a debut success over track and trip. He could have been found an easier opportunity than this and gets the vote with improvement likely.
