    Verdict

Plenty of unexposed types and for the shortlist are Plucky, Luck Be A Lady and Own Boss and we stick with the former. Plucky was a fairly expensive purchase at the sales and while the betting suggested that she was unfancied first time out, there were plenty of positives to be gleaned and if the market speaks favourably, she looks worth taking a view about. Luck Be A Lady has had a brief absence from the track and is another to watch in the market. Jeremy Noseda has won races with similar types of late and the filly cannot be discounted. Own Boss would need to build upon a recent effort at Brighton. He was probably unfortunate to run up against a hotpot in Cactus Rose and should be up to winning a maiden soon. Usk Melody sets the benchmark for the handicapper having ran off marks in the high 70's in handicap company. Medicea Sidera is a far from forlorn hope if rain stays away. A good race and Plucky is put up as the tentative vote.
