Verdict

MOOTAHARER was beaten only a length at Salisbury on his introduction. Normal progress should see him bang there at the finish and he's preferred to Claymore, not beaten that far when seventh at the same meeting at Salisbury. Newcomers to keep a close eye on include Symbolic, partnered by Frankie Dettori, while Poet's Word is a 300,000gns half-brother to four winners. William Haggas runs two in Coherent, related to winners in Germany, and the early Derby entry Fastnet Tempest and Sautter is entered for next year's Irish 2000 Guineas.
