      Verdict

Pinwork at its best and it falls on SUMBE, whose relatives won at two, to carry our recommendation. Contretemps, Delegator and Standpoint head the list of dangers. The selection is a son of Giant's Causeway and cost 290,000 guineas. Whilst unlikely to have been rushed by his patient trainer, his father won all of his juvenile races and he could follow in his footsteps. Delegator is the only horse to have raced in public and this Brian Meehan inmate ran a fine race in second, only bumping into one too good in the form of Wingwalker; he sets a good standard. Stablemate Crowded House should be watched in the betting in relation to his stablemate, especially with Neil Callan an interesting booking. Standpoint and Cornish Castle look two of the more interesting ones along with Contretemps. However his yard continue to struggle and his pedigree suggests quicker ground may suit. Jack Cool and Four Winds are just two more to mention, however we will stick with Sumbe.
