Arthur Kitt suffered the first defeat of his career when coming up against Too Darn Hot in the Solario Stakes at Sandown. He’s not certain to stay this extra furlong on breeding and John Gosden should have a good idea of where he stands with the unbeaten BEATBOXER. The bare form of the Scat Daddy’s colt’s two victories to date doesn’t compare with some of these but he has a Group 1 entry next month and his trainer is not one to tilt at windmills. Cape Of Good Hope got closer to Quorto in a Group 2 here in July than stablemate Mohawk did at the Curragh and he’s also preferred to Sydney Opera House but Kadar was very impressive when making a winning debut at Haydock and has more scope. Kuwait Currency has won his last two but this is a much tougher assignment.
