Dangerous Midge has obvious claims on his Breeders Cup win last year but efforts this term have been so disappointing and he's best watched. He was tailed off behind the impressive Jet Away last time and the Cecil charge looks set to go well again, especially as he appeared much improved when coasting to a nine-length success at York that day. However, he's yet to score at this level and narrow preference is for DUX SCHOLAR who has compiled a highly consistent if slightly unfortunate profile at Listed and Group 3 level. He delivered a fine effort when runner-up in the Darley Stakes latest and can notch a deserved success. Slumber will go well on his best form and remains open to improvement with just six starts under his belt.
