Verdict

This is not the best of bumpers and recent winner Recent Sedgefield winner SARAH'S GIFT is given the vote to defy a seven pound penalty to win again at the expense of Pas De Baratin and Gunner Rose. Connections of the selection are obviously keen to run again before the handicapper gets a chance to reassess the horses rating and with that in mind he is worth staying on the right side of for the time being. Pas De Baratin is only lightly raced with six runs under his belt. He showed very little over hurdles and was harshly treated by the handicapper with an unrealistic rating. He did however run a lot better on his debut over fences at Stratford finishing third in the process and if improving once again he is sure to be in the shake up. The same can be said about the top weight Gunner Rose whose hurdle career was limited but he caught the eye while finishing third on his chase debut at Worcester last time out and should be winning a race of this nature in time. Sarah's Gift has a nice racing weight to carry and if repeating his recent form ought to go close.
