In race two, Professor Hegarty is selected ahead of Hurlers Cross and Regal Vision. Professor Hegarty made up for an unlucky Cartmel run by winning well at the same track last time and looks a leading player, even under his penalty. Regal Vision ran well for a long way over course and distance last time on his first run since October and can be expected to build on that, while The Teuchter won well over course and distance last time, albeit on soft going, and a five-pounds rise for that success does not rule him out of things. Over Bridge is not ruled out based on his form of a year ago, while an eight-pounds rise for his emphatic Fontwell win certainly does not rule out Hurlers Cross. Finally, much as Mollycarrsbrekfast has been disappointing of late, he is now just a pound above a winning mark from last August. For the selection, though, we will stick with Professor Hegarty.
