In depth

Verdict

Lake Chapala is in terrific form and could still be a step ahead of the handicapper. Veteran Kastani Beach has place claims again while Orion's Might made all at Uttoxeter last time. Jack Bear and Arty Campbell are both winning stayers on the Flat but have yet to show much aptitude for jumping hurdles. CHANTECLER is 0-6 over timber but the forecast quick going is very much in his favour and he has shown some promise. He may be allowed to start at generous odds in a fairly modest finale.
