Verdict

JUDGE EARLE (NAP) hacked up at this track before failing to justify short-priced favouritism at Cartmel five days later. However, he was only beaten by a course specialist around that idiosyncratic venue and can regain the winning thread returned to the west country. Paul Nicholls returns Risk And Roll to timber and Bryony Frost is booked for the gelding who should prove competitive despite the impost of topweight. Cottonvale is also one to note off bottomweight as it was only the prolific The Jam Man who proved too good the last day around here, whilst Mighty Leader and Winter Spice could also take a hand in an interesting lady riders' handicap.
