    Verdict

Wee Dinns, Barton Flower and Adlestrop are three against the field in a competitive opener and the vote is given to Wee Dinns. The selection was a fair third behind Tessanora last time out. That form looks rock solid in the context of this race and with this faster ground also in his favour he looks the one to be on. Barton Flower rates the main danger has the beating of the selection on a line through Tessanora but he is becoming hard to win with and for that reason he is opposed. Adlestrop is another that could go well on his best form but he has given the impression in the past that he would be suited by a longer trip. Screen Test was a fair ninth behind Trompette last time and is sure to improve so should be noted in the market. Of the remainder Miss Midnight is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but Wee Dinns is taken to get his head in front on this faster ground.
