Chico Time looks well treated based on his hurdles form but has fitness to prove and Old Brigade is up in the handicap after a narrow reverse so the best choice seems to be the on-form RIFLEMAN. Clearly in good heart with a third placed finished splitting a couple of wins he scored easily enough over fences last time to suggest he can win again from this revised mark. Chico Time is 11lbs lighted than when scoring over timber on his last start of last season so if he is fit returning from a 104 day break he should go close. Old Brigade was denied less than a length by Public Esteem last time but is up 4lbs for that and Oamaru Stone is in a similar boat but he has it to prove after being well held off this rating when last seen. Von Galen and Back In Buisness should also be in the mix under their burdens but Rifleman still looks treated well enough to win again.
