In depth

Verdict

SHAMMICK BOY has already proved himself a decent novice, winning twice over this trip at Taunton. The slightly quicker ground here isn't a concern and Victor Dartnall's charge can complete his hat-trick, despite the double penalty. Topolski, a four times winner on the Flat, made a winning start to his career over hurdles at Sandown and is open to further improvement but The Hague has a lot more on his plate than when successful in a maiden hurdle at Plumpton and Falcon Island may need more time to acclimatise after his move from Jessica Harrington's yard. Water Garden has shown promise in both starts over timber but looks as though he needs further than this.
