Shanahan gets the vote on his return to novice company with King Kasyapa and Souffleur rating the main dangers. The selection was a good second in a handicap behind Gold Gun last time out. This represents a drop in class and under conditions that should suit he gets the vote. King Kasyapa rates the main danger as he was a fair sort on the flat at his best is sure to have been well schooled for this his hurdling debut and he should be watched in the market. However the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Souffleur is another that showed ability on the flat but he looks the stables second string on jockey bookings. Thistle was a fair fifth behind Dumaran last time out. This looks easier and he has definite place claims but he has looked a none stayer in the past. Of the remainder Im Busy has had plenty of chances in similar grade without taking one and again he looks vulnerable. This is a trappy race and the market will be very informative but Shanahan sets a fair standard and he will be hard to beat.
