In depth

Verdict

A poor maiden in which Bentinck, Gone Missing and Legal Glory look three of the more obvious suitors and our nomination is Legal Glory. The selection appeared to show improved form for a massive step up in trip and while there is no guarantee that he can repeat that run, he is nevertheless unexposed and is still open to some improvement. Bentinck kept on well to chase home Kanpai at Worcester last month. He had to be chased along to do so but this did represent a step up on bumper form. Gone Missing is a winning pointer but he will need to learn how to settle before he visits the winners enclosure under rules. Code has plenty to prove on all known form while Chesnut Annie is a mare who is still relatively unexposed and of whom money has been seen in the past. First Thought is unproven on the surface and could be worth a watching brief. Legal Glory looks to have the most positives and is selected in anticipation of some progression.
