In depth

Verdict

Mutamaleq has made the frame on several occasions and should make his presence felt, despite top weight. Amary, Petomic, Talent Scout and Bishopbriggs all won on the all-weather over the winter as did Mr Chocolate Drop, whose second to John Potts at Wolverhampton last month looks the best recent form on offer. Many Welcomes will strip fitter for her reappearance and is another consider, along with Sunrise Lyric, but BORDER OWL makes most appeal in this. Peter Salmon's six-year-old is now 3lb lower than when scoring over this trip at Ripon last July and there was plenty to like about his comeback third at Wolverhampton in February when he looked in need of the run.
