In depth

Verdict

A tricky finale with a lengthy shortlist. Plumette has been good form on Tapeta and was almost four lengths ahead of BRONZE RIVER at Wolverhampton eight days ago but nothing went right for Mick Appleby’s charge that day and it’s interesting that the latter’s connections don’t fear a rematch. Dandy Maestro could go well dropped in distance but a mile looked to be too far for Enderman at Southwell. Katyusha and Jenson Benson may be the pick of the remainder.
