      Verdict

Welsh Auction is taken to land the opener at the expense of Sundae and Excessive. The selection has had a string of seconds to his name this season and in the process has come against some tidy individuals. Excuses aside though he has the ability if everything falls into place and with conditions to suit he ought to take the beating. Sundae caught the eye last time out when a fair second to Blackmalkin. That was his seasonal reappearence so with that in mind there should be room for improvement. Excessive has his first run of the year so could be ring rusty. His two runs last season were fair without being great so is to be treated with caution. So for the winner we return to Welsh Auction.
