In depth

Verdict

Methusaleh can go one better at the expense of Very Well Red, Casual Affair and Goldren Spectrum. Methusaleh has plummeted to a very low handicap mark these days, and on the strength of an encouraging second at Wolverhampton 12-days ago, is selected to come out on top under Patrick Hills. Very Well Red opened her account in a poor affair at Wolverhampton nine days ago, but at least remains open to improvement as that was only her sixth ever outing. Casual Affair has been lumbered with topweight on this return to the fray, which is off-putting, while Golden Spectrum has been placed on a number of occasions on the all-weather, but is worth opposing. Basically, there will be a stampede for the exits while this is on, but those who stay may just be rewarded by backing Methusaleh.
