In depth

Verdict

There has to be a suspicion that Scarlet Ribbons was flattered to receive such a high rating after finishing so well beaten by Queens Logic at Newbury, and she faces a very stiff task at the weights; especially at this trip. Therefore it could pay to side with the progressive Danemere, who gave the impression that there is plenty more to come from her after her reappearance at Ascot just over a fortnight ago. Her pedigree states that this is her trip and her stable has good record three-year-olds so far this season. Ikenga is also progressing nicely and will be a big threat to them all if she is ridden with a little more restraint this time.
