    Verdict

A wide weight range with Whitman heading the handicap on the back of a doughty Newbury success. But the son of Poet's Voice is asked to concede 6lb to SHOW STEALER who has already beaten the Johnston inmate in a maiden at Brighton. Rae Guest's filly impressed when following up her debut success with a smoothly authoritative performance at Ponterfract and can complete her hat-trick. Bochart is coming along steadily and should be winning soon and Scottish Command is a likely improver stepping into nurseries for the Hannon team.
