In depth

Verdict

Khyberie, Emirates First and Sahara Sphinx look the top performers here and Emirates First can make a winning debut. Emirates First is a daughter of In The Wings out of the top class Genovefa who was best at distances of around a mile and a half. This trip of a mile may be on the short side but with stamina at a premium in the conditions, Emirates First can be staying on when others have cried enough. Sahara Sphinx was fairly easy to back on his debut, the Godolphin runner perhaps not seeing out the ten furlong trip and this shorter trip may suit the son of Giants Causeway. Khyberie shaped encouragingly on her only start to date, the daughter of Kahyasi doing all her best work in the closing stages, and she can be expected to improve for the experience. However, the one who can justify her title is Emirates First.
